What Harvest Festival means to me?

This is a sponsored post.

It’s the time of the year again, the Kaamatan and Gawai Dayak Festivals! This marks my 3rd year celebrating it outside of Sabah Sarawak. I am going to miss I miss Tapai/Lihing/Tuak (Rice wine) again!

The Kaamatan Festival and the Gawai Dayak Festival is held every 30th and 31st of May and June 1st and 2nd respectively. We refer to these festivals as Harvest Festival. Some of you may ask, how much this festival means to me?

Do you know that there is a  special webfilm which is produced by PETRONAS that brings to life the rich culture and rituals of Pesta Kaamatan and Gawai Dayak that is aired from 26th May on television and PETRONAS’ official YouTube channel? If you haven’t here’s a link below:

I am really touched of the videos and it truly shows what my culture is. For those who would love to experience Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage and ancient traditions from East Malaysia, do come and celebrate with us at Sabah and Sarawak and experience the 2 most important festivals!

In summary, I am proud to be part of this culture, tradition and arts. And I will continue to pass it on to my future generations!

Wishing all Sabahan and Sawakians, and most importantly, to all my readers
